The new Nike away kit design for the coming season is on sale today.
Having declared Can’t Tame Us with the home kit release and started to Train Like Lions ahead of the match action when the trainingwear was launched, now it is time for Chelsea Football Club to Unleash The Lion with this dark design.
Black is the base for our change strip for the 2026/27 campaign and for the first time since 2021/22 there is the return of the traditionally popular away kit colour yellow – on this occasion with the Midwest Gold lustre that is also the new home kit trim.

There is more design-crossover continuity with the laurel wreath motif that is a feature of the home kit also bordering the round neck and sleeve cuffs of the away shirt, and appearing as a highlight of the away kit’s golden socks. On each of the jersey’s shoulders there is an engineered rib of gold.
Unleashed on the pitch
The kit worn by players is glimpsed for the first time today with Chelsea stars modelling the look, including Ellie Carpenter, Estevao Willian, Lauren James, Naomi Girma, Moises Caicedo and Reece James showcasing the kit in an atmospheric film styled to reimagine the leaving of a lion’s den; the players emerging from the shadows, coming together as a pride.
The kit will make its full debut during the men’s pre-season tour coming soon. Then, and in the months that follow, our teams wearing the match day shirt will benefit from Nike’s Aero-FIT cooling technology, helping athletes thrive and stay dry as the game heats up.
