Alex Scott has no plans to sign a new Bournemouth contract as it stands, with Arsenal and Chelsea among the clubs monitoring the situation.
The 22-year-old had a superb season for the Cherries and was rewarded by Thomas Tuchel with a call-up to England's preparation camp before the World Cup.
Scott signed for Bournemouth three years ago for £25million and the midfielder is now once again in high demand.
He has two years left on his current deal and there is currently no indication that he intends to extend.
Standard Sport understands that Scott was first offered a new contract by Bournemouth in March, at which point the club felt confident that an agreement could be reached.
However, Scott decided not to sign that and talks have slowed significantly since then.
Bournemouth have received no encouragement that the midfielder will commit his future to the club by agreeing a new contract.
It is understood that Arsenal and Chelsea have both indicated informal interest in Scott, though no formal approaches have been made.
Manchester United are also keeping tabs on Scott as they look to further bolster their midfield options.
Bournemouth's stance is that Scott is not for sale and will remain at the club next season regardless of whether he signs a new contract.
Even though he has entered the final two years of his existing deal, the Cherries do not feel under pressure to sell.
Bournemouth view him as a key player as they prepare for their first season in Europe.
Scott is with his team-mates in Austria, where Bournemouth have started their pre-season preparations under Marco Rose.
