Bristol Rovers starlet Ollie Dewsbury is training with Everton as the club considers a move for a player being tracked by several Premier League rivals.
Arsenal and Fulham are among those monitoring the 18-year-old Rovers record-breaker as clubs weigh up a move for the young talent.
Everton appear to be ahead of the pack, however, with the teenager training at Finch Farm this week, enabling club chiefs to get a closer look at the forward.
Dewsbury became the youngest player to represent the League Two side in the FA Cup when he made his senior debut against Whitby Town in November 2023. Aged just 15 at the time, it made him the second youngest player to represent the club he has been at since the age of seven.
Several loan spells have followed. He scored six goals in 14 games for Yate Town and then one in four for Taunton Town, leading to his recall to his parent club. Last season, he made 12 appearances for the Gas before scoring three times in 21 games during a loan spell in the National League South with Weston-Super-Mare.
Should Everton act on their interest, first reported by the ECHO’s sister title Bristol Live, the Wales youth international would become the latest player signed by the club to boost the academy ranks over recent years. Competition in the Under-21s would include Braiden Graham and Ceiran Loney, bought from Linfield and Partick respectively and former Arsenal youth player Omari Benjamin.
The Blues have already signed promising 16-year-old forward Kai Hutchison from Dundee United this summer.
