Alexis Mac Allister is currently planning to stay with Liverpool despite new links with Real Madrid, with his father and agent dismissing claims over his future.
Earlier this week, Defensa Central reported that Mac Allister considered his time in England over and his representatives had offered him to Real Madrid.
They further claimed that Liverpool would seek a fee in the region of €100 million (£85.3m), with their information coming via an intermediary working for the Spanish club.
Mac Allister’s agent, his father Carlos, has moved to swiftly dismiss these suggestions, telling 365scores that the rumours were false.

“We have not spoken with any official at Real Madrid,” Mac Allister Sr. insisted.
“What is being circulated about us holding talks with Real Madrid is not true.”
“Alexis is still under contract for two seasons with Liverpool, and currently he will get some rest for a few days and then return to play in the Premier League.
“That is the current situation.”

With Argentina’s World Cup campaign only concluding with Sunday’s final, Mac Allister is not set to report back for pre-season with Liverpool until August 10 at the earliest.
There he will meet Andoni Iraola and resume training with his team-mates – and for the first time new signings Jeremy Jacquet and Victor Munoz.
Liverpool are yet to strengthen in midfield this summer, and though there are currently no plans to extend Mac Allister’s contract, as it stands he is heading into the new campaign as a likely first-choice starter.
But with Dominik Szoboszlai and Ryan Gravenberch handed long-term extensions and all reports indicating that there will be no such offer for the No. 10, he would be forgiven for considering his future.
Mac Allister Sr. is consistent in denying any talks over an exit and that would suggest that the intention is to stay at Anfield for at least another season.
Real Madrid were forced to publicly deny any interest in fellow Argentina midfielder Enzo Fernandez last month, but there is a sense that their pursuit of the Chelsea player will continue in the background.
Liverpool have been tentatively linked with a number of midfielders themselves, including Crystal Palace‘s Adam Wharton and Bournemouth‘s Alex Scott.
But an impressive World Cup with Argentina and a change in the dugout could see Mac Allister remain a key player.
