Arsenal Agree Significant Emirates Sponsorship Extension

The agreement will keep Emirates on Arsenal’s shirts and stadium while delivering a significant increase in commercial income.

Arsenal have reportedly agreed a major extension to their long-running sponsorship agreement with Emirates.

According to an exclusive report from The Telegraph, the Premier League champions have secured a significant increase on their current £45million-a-year deal.

While the current deal was set to run until 2028, Arsenal’s recent success and growing commercial strength have prompted both sides to strike a new agreement ahead of schedule.

The fresh terms are expected to keep Emirates’ name on both the stadium and the front of Arsenal’s men’s and women’s shirts.

Neither club nor sponsor has made the extension official, and details around the length and value of the new deal remain under wraps for now.

Emirates first appeared on Arsenal shirts in 2006, coinciding with the club’s move from Highbury to their new home.

Since then, the airline’s name has been synonymous with the stadium, forming one of English football’s longest and most recognisable commercial partnerships.

The last extension, agreed in 2023, took both the shirt sponsorship and stadium naming rights through to 2028, setting up this latest round of negotiations.

Outgoing chief commercial officer Juliet Slot is believed to have overseen this latest extension, signing off on one of her final major deals before leaving the club.

Slot, who will depart Arsenal in 2026, has played a key role in driving the club’s commercial growth during her tenure.

The timing of the deal comes off the back of Arsenal’s most successful season in over twenty years.

Mikel Arteta’s team ended a two-decade wait for the Premier League title and reached the Champions League final, achievements that have only strengthened Arsenal’s hand in talks with sponsors.

A higher profile, regular Champions League football and a growing global fanbase have all contributed to Arsenal’s rising revenues in recent seasons.

Commercial income is now thought to be around £260million, up by about 50 per cent in just five years.

Further growth is expected, with new deals in areas like catering and shirt-sleeve sponsorship on the horizon.

A renewed Emirates deal would give Arsenal another financial lift as they aim to stay among the elite in England and Europe.

It also means Emirates will remain front and centre on Arsenal shirts and at the stadium, well past the partnership’s twentieth year.
