The last week of work for the Chelsea squad on home soil before pre-season hits the road is underway with Xabi Alonso back on the training pitch with his players on Tuesday.
With the 2026 FIFA World Cup now officially over after Sunday night's final in the USA, the focus is returning solely to club football, and the upcoming start to the 2026/27 season.
While it will be a little longer until the majority of the Blues' internationals report back to Cobham after their World Cup exertions, the rest of the squad are already two weeks into pre-season training under new manager Alonso.
The pace of pre-season continues to gather momentum ahead of the team's departure to Australia for the start of our summer tour at the end of this week, but in the meantime the Blues continue to make the most of their time working at Cobham.
