Saudi Pro League side Al Hilal have agreed a deal to sign Arsenal-linked forward Crysencio Summerville.
Al Hilal have agreed to sign Summerville in a deal worth up to €80 million (£68m), according to the Athletic.
The Netherlands international is set to be handed a long-term contract by the Saudi Arabia-based club.
Summerville was never Arsenal’s priority
Summerville impressed for West Ham last season, registering 12 goal involvements in 34 appearances across all competitions.
He also scored two goals and provided two assists in four matches for the Netherlands at the 2026 World Cup.
Arsenal have been linked with Summerville as they look to strengthen their left wing. However, the north London side never prioritised a move for the 24-year-old.
Summerville is inconsistent and has struggled with injuries, missing 27 games through injury since joining West Ham. Those concerns are likely to have discouraged Arsenal from making a move.
Instead, Arsenal had made Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers their priority left-wing target, but the England international is now set to join Chelsea in a £117m deal.
The Gunners fell £17m short of Villa’s asking price, allowing Chelsea to hijack the move.
Arsenal are now expected to explore alternative targets as they look to strengthen the left wing.
Mikel Arteta’s side have been linked with Paris Saint-Germain’s Bradley Barcola, but a deal for the France international could also prove prohibitive. PSG value Barcola at more than £116m, making a move difficult.
Arsenal should consider a move for Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford. United are looking to sell the English forward, and he could be available for a cut price, with two years left on his contract.
