Chelsea transfer news## Chelsea are closing in on the transfer of Morgan Rogers as Xabi Alonso shapes his squad ahead of the new Premier League season.

Chelsea are aiming to raise as much as £300 million through sales in the summer transfer window. The Blues are on the verge of completing a move for Morgan Rogers for a British record £117 million, but that transfer can be funded by outgoings.
This summer will see Xabi Alonso shape his squad as he prepares for his first season in charge. So far, Marc Cucurella, Andrey Santos, Tyrique George and Jimmy Jay Morgan have left the club.
Chelsea have also received compensation from Manchester City following Enzo Maresca’s appointment at the Etihad Stadium. That, plus the transfer fees, adds up to around £140 million.

But that may not be the last of the exits. Several other players have been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge this summer.
Talks with Aston Villa are progressing over a loan deal with a conditional obligation to buy, for Alejandro Garnacho. Defender Trevoh Chalobah also looks set to leave with lots of interest from Italy.
Chelsea are open to allowing the academy graduate to leave this summer, but only for offers around the £30-35 million range. They have already turned down two bids from Serie A side Como.
Midfielder Enzo Fernandez is another player who has been linked with a move away. The end of the World Cup could lead to more potential movement, but Real Madrid have released a statement saying that they will not try to sign him this summer.
The Athletic reports that in terms of sales, Chelsea have a goal of earning £300 million for the second summer transfer window in a row. If that is the case, then that is likely to be able to fund some more incomings between now and the end of the window.
The Blues are in talks with Crystal Palace over a potential deal for defender Maxence Lacroix. The Eagles are reported to want a fee of at least £60 million for the Frenchman.

Should Chelsea complete a move for the centre-back, then it will make it more likely that Chalobah’s future is away from Stamford Bridge.
