According to NBA insider Evan Sidery, Milwaukee is exploring the possibility of acquiring Kuminga through a sign-and-trade.
The Bucks' renewed pursuit comes after the organization recently checked in on Denver Nuggets forward Peyton Watson.
Milwaukee had already inquired about Kuminga before the Golden State Warriors traded him to the Atlanta Hawks at the February deadline.
The Bucks now appear ready to revisit the possibility of adding the athletic forward.
Lakers and Cavaliers remain interested in Kuminga
Milwaukee joins the Los Angeles Lakers and Cleveland Cavaliers among the teams pursuing Kuminga this offseason.
The Lakers have maintained interest in the 23-year-old as they search for another starting-caliber forward to place alongside Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves.
Los Angeles has explored sign-and-trade possibilities, although negotiations have recently lost momentum due to Kuminga's contract demands and the Lakers' reluctance to include significant draft capital.
The Lakers would also have to create additional roster flexibility to complete a deal.
Following its latest offseason additions, the team has 16 players on guaranteed contracts and would likely need to redirect multiple players in a potential multi-team transaction.

Cleveland has meanwhile emerged as another realistic landing spot for Kuminga.
The Cavaliers have been linked with a possible sign-and-trade and could intensify their pursuit depending on LeBron James' decision.
Kuminga also has a previous relationship with Cavs head coach Kenny Atkinson from their time together in Golden State.
Kuminga market begins to expand
Kuminga became an unrestricted free agent after Atlanta declined his team option following the season.
Splitting last season between Golden State and Atlanta, the former No. 7 overall pick averaged 12.2 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game.
His athleticism, transition scoring, and ability to defend multiple positions have kept him among the most notable forwards still available.
However, acquiring him would likely require a sign-and-trade because the interested teams do not have enough cap space to sign him outright at his desired salary.
