Liverpool touched down in the United States on Monday night, with Andoni Iraola and his squad beginning preparations for their pre-season tour.
The Reds will use Chicago as their training base throughout the trip, travelling to Nashville and New York ahead of their fixtures.

Liverpool’s first friendly comes against Sunderland at Nashville’s 30,000-capacity Geodis Park on Saturday, July 25 (5pm local time, 11pm UK time).
The stadium, which opened in 2022, is home to Major League Soccer side Nashville SC and is the largest soccer-specific venue in the United States. The club’s vice-chairman is former Liverpool CEO Ian Ayre.
Iraola’s side will then face Wrexham, owned by Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, at Yankee Stadium in New York on Wednesday, July 29 (7:30pm local time, 12:30am UK time).
It will be Liverpool’s third appearance at the iconic Bronx venue, having previously played Sporting CP in 2019 and Manchester City in 2014.
The stadium, which has a soccer capacity of around 50,000, is also home to MLS side New York City FC and Major League Baseball’s New York Yankees.
The final match of the tour will see Liverpool take on Leeds United at Chicago’s Soldier Field on Sunday, August 2 (3pm local time, 9pm UK time).
The historic stadium, home to the NFL’s Chicago Bears and MLS’ Chicago Fire, has a capacity of around 62,500 and previously hosted Liverpool’s 2014 pre-season friendly against Olympiacos.
The tour marks Liverpool’s fifth visit to the United States in the last decade. During their stay in Chicago, Iraola and his players will train at the Endeavour Health Performance Centre, the facility used by MLS side Chicago Fire.
According to the Liverpool Echo, unlike previous summers, Liverpool will not hold an open training session during the tour, allowing Iraola to work with his squad away from external attention as they prepare through a demanding period of sessions in the heat.
The Reds will return to Merseyside immediately after the Leeds fixture, with their pre-season schedule concluding with Anfield friendlies against Monaco on August 9 and Como on August 16.
