The San Antonio Spurs finished Las Vegas Summer League with a record of 4-1 after defeating the Phoenix Suns. Playing without Carter Bryant, their four 2026 draft picks and two-way player Emanuel Miller, the Spurs got impressive performances from a number of unheralded players to finish summer league on a four-game winning streak.

Spurs vs. Suns – Final Grades
Miles Kelly
Kelly had a roller coaster of a summer league campaign — mostly due to an injury that forced him to miss a few games. However, he was able to end things on a high note. With the game seemingly slipping away from the Spurs, Kelly scored San Antonio’s final 12 points in the game’s closing three minutes to seal the win for the good guys. He has real NBA experience and his skill was on display down the stretch. A training camp invite will likely be there if he wants it.
Grade: A-
RJ Davis
Davis scored 11 points in 32 minutes but his efficiency was lacking. He was 4-for-13 from the field, including 0-for-6 on three-pointers. He also turned it over three times. That said, the guard was able to retain some value by handing out four assists and grabbing three rebounds while efforting on the defensive end.
Grade: C+
Hyunjung Lee
Lee went through a shooting slump in summer league but rediscovered his stroke late and showed he belonged. He was 3-for-5 from three-point land against the Suns. The native of South Korea added seven rebounds, two assists, two steals and a block. Lee also went without a turnover in his 26 minutes. I liked what I saw defensively and his effort on both ends was commendable. The next stop for Lee could very well be training camp.
Grade: A-
Igor Milicic Jr.
Milicic wasn’t particularly close on most of his shots and only totaled two points in 21 minutes. However, he remained active. He led the way with 11 rebounds while playing above average defense. He also handed out a couple assists while relentlessly moving. Unfortunately, Milicic also turned it over four times. He’s a really good athlete with a strong motor, but he still needs to smooth out the rough edges of his game.
Grade: C+
David Muoka
Muoka had a powerful dunk and an impressive block during his 19 minutes. Add good rebounding instincts to his obvious athletic tools and the Hong Kong native has a chance to keep playing basketball for the next decade.
Grade: B
Miles Barnstable
Barnstable concluded a strong summer league showing by posting ten points on 4-for-5 shooting from the field, including 2-for-2 on three-pointers. While he didn’t tally an assist, he handled the ball and passed at a decent-enough level. I was also impressed with his defense against Phoenix. Barnstable is another player who might have played his way into training camp consideration.
Grade: B+
RJ Melendez
Melendez had what was probably his best summer league performance. In only 17 minutes, he totaled 13 points, four assists, two rebounds and two steals. He didn’t turn the ball over and shot 5-for-7 from the field, including 2-for-3 from three-point territory. He’s a good athlete with good size and workable mechanics. Melendez has good instincts and impressive physical tools. If the Spurs can get him to Austin, that’d be a plus.
Grade: A-
Harry Wessels
It was cool to see Wessels have such a strong finale. Previously, he was mostly been seen leading the cheers from the bench. But against the Suns, the burly Australian had ten points, nine rebounds and two blocks in only 17 minutes. He was 4-for-6 from the floor and played with a palpable amount of physicality. Well done.
Grade: A-
Jayden Nunn
Nunn was 2-for-4 from two-point range but 0-for-3 from deep. Otherwise, he wasn’t too involved in his 16 minutes. His effort was a positive trait on defense but he didn’t do a whole lot of tangible good.
Grade: C
Zakai Zeigler
Zeigler scored a basket in his eight minutes of playing time. Being 5-foot-8 makes the NBA an extreme long shot for him but there’s no lack of courage.
Grade: C+
Tyon Grant-Foster
Grant-Foster looked reasonably athletic during his five minutes of action, in which he tallied a rebound and an assist.
Grade: Inc.
Corliss Williamson
After a slow start to summer league, Williamson and the rest of the coaching staff were able to turn things around. The Spurs started 0-4 overall before winning their final four contests. By the end, Williamson had the entire roster playing hard on defense and playing a heady brand of offense. Good stuff.
