Paul Raynor confirmed that Ollie Dewsbury is training with Everton, saying that the club will “wait and see what the feedback is” on the 18-year-old forward.
The Bristol Rovers youngster started for Everton’s Under-21’s last night at Shrewsbury Town, with the League Two side winning 1-0, thanks to a second-half strike from Josh Ruffels.
We reported that Dewsbury was on trial at the Premier League club on Monday, and it is understood that if his week with the Toffees goes well, he could leave BS7 permanently for a six-figure fee.
When asked by Bristol Live to provide an update on Dewsbury following last night’s 2-2 draw at Forest Green Rovers, Raynor said: "He’s training with Everton. Basically, he’s training with Everton.
"Hope he does really well. He’s a good lad. He’s got some real talent.
"What Everton see in that, we’ll wait and see what the feedback is from them on that.
"But it’s nice that one of our younger players is getting that attention.
"Hope he goes up there and learns and even if nothing happens with it, I’m sure he’ll learn a lot from from training with those type of players."
Arsenal, Stoke City and Fulham have also shown an interest in Dewsbury, but the Toffees are the most likely destination for the young forward, who was named the LFE Apprentice of the Season in League Two in April 2026.
