Arsenal are poised to land their next signing of the summer transfer window as Christos Tzolis “arrives in London” ahead of his medical, according to reports.
The Standard claims the Greek international was expected to “complete the formalities” of his move on Tuesday, after the Gunners agreed a £34m fee with Club Brugge.
As well as undergoing medical tests, Tzolis will put pen to paper on his contract. It is believed the deal will run until the summer of 2031.
Tzolis will be the club’s 3rd summer signing
It is fair to say that the Gunners have been rather slow off the mark in terms of securing new additions. They have confirmed the arrival of Piero Hincapie, with the Ecuadorian international having moved to the Emirates on a permanent basis from Bayer Leverkusen following his loan spell last season.
The Premier League champions have also formally announced the arrival of former Leeds goalkeeper Illan Meslier. The Frenchman was snapped up on a free transfer. Tzolis will effectively be the first major addition to the first-team squad.

Who will Arsenal target next?
Sporting director Andrea Berta and manager Mikel Arteta are set to focus on strengthening three key positions.
Arteta is keen on taking some of the workload off Declan Rice in midfield, and Newcastle captain Bruno Guimaraes has been earmarked as the top target.
A left winger is also on the agenda, but after missing out on Morgan Rogers, Berta will need to redouble his efforts to find a suitable alternative.
It looks like another centre-back will be needed too, with William Saliba set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines with a back injury.
