Jaylen Brown and Rafael Devers share a birthday.
On Oct. 24, 1996, Brown was born in Marietta, Georgia, and Devers was born in Sanchez, Dominican Republic.
About 30 years later, both have been sent away from Boston's sports teams.
The Red Sox traded Devers to the Giants last season.
The Celtics traded Brown to the 76ers this summer.
Yes, Brown won a title with the Celtics and was Finals MVP, so he's not a direction comparison to Devers here.
But for those in Boston currently riding high on the Red Sox winning streak, it all feels connected. The Red Sox haven't lost since Brown was traded.

Does Brown have anything to do with the Red Sox? Not at all.
Does Devers at this point? Not particularly. They played well last season after trading Devers, but then this season was brutal for a long stretch until rattling off 14 wins in a row.
Still, there might be something about that date.
On that same Oct. 24, 1996, the Bruins lost 2-1 to the Maple Leafs.
And on that date, the Yankees won a World Series game.
Maybe the most notable good for Boston sports on that date came in 1892, when the Boston Beaneaters claimed a baseball world championship by clinching their series against the Cleveland Spiders.
