The much-anticipated release of the NBA 2K27 is just around the corner, with the hallmark video game entering its 28th edition this year.
Ahead of the game's release, NBA 2K has officially announced the three players to grace the covers of this year's game, ushering in the next generation of NBA and WNBA stars, while honouring one of the NBA's most iconic players in recent history.
This year's edition of the game will see three different versions released: Standard Edition, Deluxe Edition, and the limited-time Ultra Edition.

Who is on the cover of NBA 2K27?
NBA 2K27 will feature three different cover athletes across the game's three editions.
Reigning unanimous NBA Defensive Player of the Year Victor Wembanyama will grace the cover of the Standard Edition, capping off an incredible season for the 22-year-old.
The former No.1 overall pick led the San Antonio Spurs to the NBA Finals for the first time since 2014, cementing himself as both the present and future of the league.

WNBA star Caitlin Clark continues her historic rise in the league, earning her first NBA 2K cover on the Deluxe Edition.
Clark, fresh off a career-high 45-point, 10-assist performance, is averaging a career-high 20.7 points on 33.3 percent from beyond the arc this season, adding 7.8 assists and 3.6 rebounds per game, leading the Indiana Fever to the second-best record in the Eastern Conference.

"Being on the cover of NBA 2K27 is special because this game reaches fans all over the world," Clark said.

The NBA 2K27 Ultra Edition features the youngest MVP in NBA history, Derrick Rose, who first graced the cover of the game in NBA 2K13, alongside Kevin Durant and Blake Griffin.
