Arsenal and Manchester City will go head to head in the first game of the 2026/27 season when they meet in the Community Shield. The Premier League champions and FA Cup winners will look to add another trophy to their cabinet on Sunday, August 16, at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium.
This will mark the first time the game will be played in the Welsh capital since 2006 as The Weeknd performs his UK tour at Wembley Stadium on the same day. It comes on the back of a stellar season for both clubs that saw Arsenal top the Premier League table for the first time since 2004, while Man City lifted the FA Cup and Carabao Cup.
Tickets for the Community Shield are now on sale via a ballot for season ticket holders before a ballot for any remaining tickets opens to club members on July 28. However, a general sale is also running at Seat Unique, where all fans can secure a seat at the game by booking through Seat Unique.
