It’s that time of the year again, and the next NBA 2K game has been announced. NBA 2K27 will release on September 4th, 2026, but there’s one less console it’s coming to this year, and that’s the original Switch. 2K has been great with its support of the Switch over the years, but with the Switch 2 now in full swing, it’s time for the original console to be left behind. 2K also dropped PS4 and Xbox One support last year.
The Standard Edition of the game has Victor Wembanyama on the cover, the Deluxe Edition has Caitlin Clark on the cover, and the Ultra Edition has Derrick Rose on the cover. The early access included with the Deluxe and Ultra Editions does not apply to the Switch 2 versions of the game.
