It’s only been just over a month since the official reveal of Caitlin Clark’s debut Nike Caitlin 1 signature sneaker, and the upcoming model is already racking up accolades. As Clark continues to debut new styles and early release info surfaces, the Indiana Fever star just added another achievement to her resumé: video game cover star.
NBA 2K27’s cover athletes were revealed Wednesday, with Clark headlining the game’s Deluxe Edition. Clark’s fellow cover stars include Victor Wembanyama on the Standard Edition and Chicago Bulls legend Derrick Rose on the Ultra Edition.
Clark’s inclusion makes her the first WNBA player to grace a global NBA 2K premium cover and the first Fever player to appear on an NBA 2K cover. And for this year’s installment, she’s the only player of the trio whose footwear is featured in the frame of the cover.

On foot, Clark wears an unreleased Nike Caitlin 1 in the upcoming “Yellow Zest” colorway. The pair, which was debuted in WNBA action on July 8 during a game against the Los Angeles Sparks, appears to be a digitized render which skips over a few of the shoe’s details such as its blue outsole, but it’s nevertheless an iconic moment for the star to wear her debut signature sneakers on her debut cover.

Wembanyama’s feature makes him the first Spurs player to cover an NBA 2K game. As for Rose, it will be his second time featured on a cover after first appearing on NBA 2K13.
NBA 2K27 launches Sept. 4 on Playstation 5, Xbox, PC and Nintendo Switch 2. Deluxe Edition and Ultra Edition owners will be able to play with early access starting Aug. 28. Following Wednesday’s cover reveal, a full gameplay trailer will be released July 28.
The Nike Caitlin 1 Yellow Zest is set to be released during the holiday season from nike.com and select Nike Basketball retailers for $140. Meanwhile, the Nike Caitlin 1’s debut Racer Blue colorway will launch at retail on Oct. 1 for $140.
