Liverpool’s imminent pre-season schedule has just got a little busier, with an extra friendly announced next month.
Liverpool confirm extra pre-season friendly
The Reds’ summer gets underway against Sunderland on Saturday night (11pm BST), with the Premier League duo meeting in Nashville, Tennessee.
But now, Liverpool have confirmed that they will play an additional behind-closed doors game against Como 1907.

The match will take place at Anfield at 12pm on Sunday, August 16, before playing them again in front of fans at 6pm on the same day.
Como are currently managed by Cesc Fabregas, who has emerged as one of Europe’s best young coaches, and they finished fourth in Serie A last season.

On this day in 2016, Liverpool signed Gini Wijnaldum from Newcastle for an initial fee of £23 million.
While some thought the Dutchman may be an attacking addition, he ended up becoming a disciplined and influential figure in midfield.
Alongside Fabinho and Jordan Henderson, Wijnaldum’s selflessness allowed others to shine, and he won the Champions League, Premier League and two other trophies with Liverpool.
He also had his individual moments to treasure, though, not least two goals in the unforgettable 4-0 win over Barcelona in 2019.
