**Liverpool will host a third pre-season friendly at Anfield next month.**
Monaco and Como [are set to travel to Merseyside to face Andoni Iraola’s side](https://www.clickliverpool.com/sport/liverpool-fc/65779-liverpool-to-play-two-anfield-friendlies/) in back-to-back Sunday encounters on August 9 and 16 respectively.
However the Reds confirmed on Wednesday that they will also entertain Cesc Fabregas’ Serie A outfit in a bonus match taking place on the same day.
The 12pm game will be played behind closed doors but broadcast live on All Red Video as Iraola assesses his new charges ahead of the new campaign.
It mirrors a similar move taken by the Basque’s predecessor Arne Slot, who oversaw a goalless draw with Las Palmas on home soil in August 2024.
However that stalemate was played after fans had already been present for a 4-1 win over fellow La Liga side Sevilla several hours beforehand.
Supporters are set to be admitted to Anfield following the friendly as the teams face off again in their 6pm kick-off to close out the summer schedule.
Iraola’s side will kick off their pre-season preparations against Sunderland in Nashville on Saturday before also facing Wrexham and Leeds stateside.
