Man City have agreed a deal to sign Arsenal midfielder Mishel Nduka, according to The Athletic ‘s David Ornstein.
The reliable journalist has confirmed that the teenager is “expected to undergo a medical imminently” ahead of completing his switch to the Etihad Stadium.
Nduka turned 16 in April, so he is not tied down to a professional contract with his current club.
The Gunners made an offer to keep the youngster, but he is now set to sign a scholarship deal with City before putting pen to paper on professional terms next year.
What do fans need to know about Nduka?
The midfielder came through the ranks of Charlton Athletic before he made the switch to Arsenal last summer.
Nduka made appearances in the Under-18 Premier League, the UEFA Youth League and Premier League 2 during his one and only season with the Gunners.
At international level, he has been capped by England Under 16s. He made his debut against the Netherlands just before Christmas last year, playing nearly 80 minutes during a 4-2 win. He has subsequently made six further appearances for his country.

Man City have recruited several young players this summer
Enzo Maresca’s side have already beaten Arsenal to the signature of another promising talent – Leicester City’s Jeremy Monga. The teenager was signed for £12.5m (including add-ons) earlier this month.
Sheffield Wednesday goalkeeper Pierce Charles has also been snapped up. The Northern Ireland international actually left the Etihad for Hillsborough five years ago, but he has returned to Manchester in a deal that could be worth up to £10m.
Mathys Detourbet has been brought in as well, but he has already been loaned out to Monaco ahead of next season.
