Arsenal have increased their offer as they look to complete the signing of Bruno Guimaraes from Newcastle United ahead of the new season.
The Gunners have been active in the transfer market already this summer, completing the permanent signing of Piero Hincapie from Bayer Leverkusen and adding Illan Meslier to the goalkeeping department.
However, they have recently suffered a major transfer blow with Morgan Rogers joining Chelsea from Aston Villa in a £117m deal amid interest in the attacking ace.
Amid that setback, all will be hoping that Arsenal can wrap up the signing of Guimaraes sooner rather than later as they target another big season at the Emirates Stadium.

According to reports from the player's homeland of Brazil, the Gunners have upped their bid for the talented midfielder as they look to agree on terms with Newcastle for their star man.
RTI Esporte report that Arsenal have now submitted a bid of €85m (£72.5m), €80m (£68.3m) of which is fixed with another €5m (£4.2m) in add-ons.
The club's reported latest bid surpasses the previous offer of €75m (£64m) which Newcastle considered insufficient for their 'world-class' captain.

The report states that Guimaraes has already agreed on personal terms with Arsenal and now it is down to the two clubs to strike an agreement for the 28-year-old.
Newcastle have been very busy in terms of transfer outgoings already this summer after bringing in £169m following Anthony Gordon's transfer to Barcelona and Sandro Tonali's big-money move to Tottenham, with the potential sale of Guimaraes set to take them to near the £250m mark.

The signing of Guimaraes will give Arsenal even more quality in the middle of the park as they look to retain their Premier League title and go one better in the Champions League.
What the Brazilian will also give the head coach is more leadership due to his role as Newcastle captain and what exactly he produces on the pitch.
Guimaraes has been regularly praised by Newcastle boss Eddie Howe for the big moments he produces time and time again to get his team over the line.
After scoring and making the other goal in a 2-0 win over Crystal Palace in January, Howe said of his player: “Bruno is a very special player, a special person, a special character.
“He’s very positive, he’s got great energy and today he played a captain’s role because that game was always going to be decided by very key moments in the game and he’s come up with a big one for us, and he’s done it countless times.
“Your big players normally decide big games, and today was a big game for us decided by a huge player in our recent history.”
