Arsenal’s transfer plans could be handed another major blow. Saudi Arabia side Al-Hilal are reportedly making a move for Paris Saint-Germain star Ousmane Dembele, which could impact the future of Bradley Barcola.

The Gunners have endured a frustrating summer window so far. They have missed out on deals for Jeremy Monga and Morgan Rogers, who have moved to Manchester City and Chelsea respectively.

Arsenal areclosing in on the signing of Club Brugge winger Christos Tzolis in a £34 million deal. They will look to add further to their squad before the end of the window as Mikel Arteta and his team defend their Premier League title.

One target is PSG winger Barcola, though Liverpool are also in the running for the French international.

As reported by football.london, Barcola is one of a few players that the club are targeting for attacking area signings, with Arsenal also looking at Mika Godts, Kerim Alajbegovic and Yan Diomande.

They could, however, be handed a blow, with journalist Sacha Tavolieri reporting that Al-Hilal are ‘pushing’ to sign Dembele from PSG.

If they are successful in their pursuit, it will likely make an exit for Barcola virtually impossible, with the French giants unlikely to want to lose another attacking player.

The move could also have a knock-on effect on Arsenal’s interest in Diomande. The RB Leipzig forward is said to prefer a move to PSG over any other interested club.

Should the club sell Dembele this summer, it makes them more likely to be on the lookout for attacking reinforcements. The transfer fee they receive from Al-Hilal will also likely fund a move for the Ivory Coast international.

Arsenal’s search for attacking reinforcements comes after they missed out on Rogers. The England international completed a move to Chelsea for a £117 million fee on Tuesday.

football.london understands that Arsenal were given the chance to match the fee, but turned down the opportunity to do so. They have a clear policy regarding player evaluations this summer and are determined not to overspend on targets.

Another player Arsenal are targeting is Newcastle United midfielder Bruno Guimaraes. The Brazilian has made it clear that he wants to move from St James’ Park to the Emirates Stadium, but there is little progress on a transfer.
