According to El Espanol, the Spanish powerhouse are set to sign 27-year-old French center Olivier Sarr.
Sarr, the older brother of Washington Wizards big man Alex Sarr, has spent his entire professional career moving between the NBA and the G League.
The 2.08-meter center went undrafted in the 2021 NBA Draft after playing college basketball for Wake Forest and Kentucky.
He subsequently began his professional career in the United States, primarily within the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Sarr brings NBA and G League experience
Sarr has made 50 NBA regular-season appearances across four seasons, representing the Thunder and Cleveland Cavaliers.
He holds NBA career averages of 4.7 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 0.6 assists while shooting 56.7% from the field and 39.1% from three-point range.
He appeared in four games for Cleveland last season, averaging 3.5 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 1.3 assists.
The French big man also produced an impressive 2025-26 G League campaign while splitting time between Raptors 905 and the Cleveland Charge.
Across 32 regular-season appearances, Sarr averaged 13.4 points, 7.3 rebounds, 1.5 assists, and 1.4 blocks in 24.2 minutes per game. He converted 57.4% of his field-goal attempts and 44.3% of his three-pointers.
Sarr missed the entire 2024-25 season after suffering a ruptured Achilles tendon but returned to action with Raptors 905 before signing a two-way contract with the Cavaliers in March 2026.
He previously helped the Oklahoma City Blue win the 2024 G League championship.
His potential arrival would give Madrid another center alongside Walter Tavares and reported signing Damian Jones, while Usman Garuba continues his recovery from a torn Achilles tendon.
