LEEDS United are locked in talks to sign Manchester City goalkeeper James Trafford, who is likely to leave the Etihad Stadium this summer.
Trafford is currently on a break after being part of England's World Cup squad in the finals in North America, with his future likely to be decided shortly.
Reports have suggested that the 23-year-old's preference is a move to Elland Road if an agreement can be reached between Leeds and City.
Trafford is United's preferred option between the posts, with the club in the market for a new number one goalkeeper following Karl Darlow's decision to move to Manchester United at the end of his deal.

Former Burnley custodian Trafford had also been interesting Newcastle United, but the north-east outfit are no longer considering him as an option.
Meanwhile, Leeds remain hopeful that big summer target Julian Brandt will make a decision on his future soon.
The Bayer Leverkusen playmaker is in demand with a number of clubs in the market to sign him.
Brandt's father Jurgen was recently present at Thorp Arch for talks with club officials last week.

On the outgoing front, a return to Valencia could well be on the cards for winger Largie Ramazani, after he spent last season at the La Liga club. They are keen on bringing him back to the Mestalla.
Meanwhile, Jack Harrison is being tipped to join MLS side New England Revolution for an undisclosed fee.
Harrison, Ramazani and Joe Gelhardt are among those absent from United's squad for their summer tour of the US.
Gelhardt has been consistently linked with a return to Hull City following two loan spells at the East Yorkshire club.
Winger Noah Okafor is also missing from the squad as he continues his extended break following Switzerland's World Cup campaign.
New signings Tarik Muharemović and Harry Wilson have been included in the 30-man squad.
Leeds kick-off with a game against Championship outfit Wrexham in Florida on July 26 before facing Premier League counterparts Sunderland in New Jersey on July 31 and Liverpool in Chicago on August 2.
