Boston Celtics forward Jordan Walsh has agreed to a three-year, $15 million contract extension with the franchise through the 2029-30 season.

According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, Jordan Walsh has agreed to a three-year, $15 million contract extension with the franchise that will keep him in Boston through the end of the 2029-30 season.
The new agreement will begin after the 2026-27 campaign. Boston previously exercised Walsh’s $2.4 million team option for next season, which became fully guaranteed on July 20.
Walsh earned larger role with Celtics
The 22-year-old made a significant leap during his third NBA season, establishing himself as a regular member of Joe Mazzulla’s rotation.
Walsh appeared in a career-high 68 games, including 25 starts, and averaged 5.4 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 0.8 assists in 17.8 minutes per game.
He shot 50.9% from the field and 38.4% from three-point range while regularly being assigned to defend some of the opposing team’s most dangerous perimeter players.
His latest campaign represented a major increase in responsibility after he averaged 1.6 points and 1.3 rebounds in 7.8 minutes across 52 appearances during the 2024-25 season.
Boston selected Walsh with the No. 38 overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft following his lone college season at Arkansas, where he averaged 7.1 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 1.1 steals per game.
Walsh was also part of the Celtics roster that won the 2024 NBA championship during his rookie season.
