According to NBA reporter Evan Sidery, Milwaukee are actively shopping center Myles Turner and forward Kyle Kuzma in trade discussions but have received little interest in either player.
The Bucks have entered a new phase following the reported trade that sent Giannis Antetokounmpo and Bobby Portis to the Miami Heat, leaving the franchise to reshape its roster around younger players and future draft assets.
Turner’s long-term contract complicates trade talks
Turner joined Milwaukee on a four-year deal worth approximately $109 million in the summer of 2025 after spending the first 10 seasons of his NBA career with the Indiana Pacers.
The 30-year-old is under contract through the 2028-29 season, with a player option worth approximately $29.1 million in the final year.
His deal also includes a 15% trade kicker, potentially making a move more expensive for an acquiring team.
Turner averaged 11.9 points, 5.3 rebounds, 1.5 assists, and 1.6 blocks in 71 appearances for the Bucks last season. He shot 38.3% from three-point range but only 44.0% overall from the field.
Although his rim protection and outside shooting could appeal to contenders, the remaining money on his contract and trade bonus appear to be limiting his market.
Kuzma could draw more interest near deadline
Kuzma is entering the final season of his contract, with his 2026-27 salary listed at approximately $20.3 million.
The 30-year-old forward averaged 13.0 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 2.7 assists in 69 games last season while shooting 49.2% from the field and 34.7% from beyond the arc.
While Milwaukee have reportedly struggled to attract suitors during the offseason, Kuzma’s expiring contract could become more appealing closer to February’s trade deadline, when teams have a clearer understanding of their needs and postseason outlook.
The 2020 NBA champion was acquired from the Washington Wizards in February 2025 as part of the deal that sent Khris Middleton to Washington.
