Liverpool are really keen to sign Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola, with trusted journalist James Pearce issuing a new update on the club's pursuit of the Frenchman.
Liverpool manager Andoni Iraola has recently suggested that he wants more new faces through the door at Anfield with Victor Munoz the only arrival so far, as the Reds look to bounce back from a disappointing 2025-26 season.
However, the Merseyside outfit still have Champions League football to look forward to, and they will hope to be much stronger in the Premier League, having ended last term 25 points adrift of eventual champions Arsenal.
While Munoz has added some much-needed depth and quality on the left flank, Liverpool look weaker on the opposite side following the departure of Mohamed Salah.
Iraola has the likes of Federico Chiesa and Jeremie Frimpong who could play there, but landing a top-class replacement for Salah will surely be the priority in the coming days and weeks.
Fabrizio Romano keeps insisting that Barcola is the player the club wants after failing in their bid to sign Yan Diomande from RB Leipzig, and it has now been backed up by the reliable Pearce too.
Pearce: Barcola 'Very High' on Liverpool Transfer List

With a month until the Premier League season gets underway and less than six weeks before the summer window closes, Liverpool will want to make progress on new signings sooner rather than later.
Speaking on GIVEMESPORT's Market Madness podcast on Thursday afternoon, Pearce confirmed the Reds' strong interest in Barcola, and says he would be a 'massively exciting' signing.
He said: "He's certainly one who features very, very highly in their list of targets. I think if they were able to do that deal, they would do. There are a lot of moving parts, not least that are PSG definitely going to sanction his exit, and if so, at what price?
"Of course, if he is going to leave PSG, Liverpool won't be the only suitor. I know there's been talk of strong interest from Arsenal, and there are others in the hunt as well. I think Liverpool would know that it's an expensive and difficult deal to do, but it would also be a massively exciting one.
"Victor Munoz, earlier on in the window, was kind of with one eye on the future. He's still kind of potential rather than the finished article. Barcola is elite, isn't he? He's been part of such a successful PSG team, and when you're replacing someone of Salah's status, it has to be someone who is ready."

Romano Issues Akliouche to Liverpool Update

Liverpool have also been linked with a fresh move for Monaco winger Maghnes Akliouche in recent days, with Romano issuing a new update on a potential move for the France international.
According to the trusted journalist, Akliouche is still likely to join Paris Saint-Germain instead, with the Champions League holders locked in talks with their Ligue 1 rivals over a deal.
Ironically, if PSG land the 24-year-old, as well as Yan Diomande, it could potentially unlock an exit for Barcola from the Parc des Princes.
Barcola showed his quality at the 2026 World Cup with three well-taken goals for France, that showed the quality he has and the ability to immediately hit the ground running at Anfield.
