Liverpool have been “offered” the chance to sign Paris Saint-Germain defender Illia Zabarnyi, according to talkSPORT reporter Alex Crook.
Speaking live on air, Crook confirmed that the Ukrainian international is on the market, with the Reds and other Premier League clubs having been made aware of his availability:
“One name that was mentioned to me this morning who is being offered to Liverpool and indeed Chelsea is Illia Zabarnyi, the former Bournemouth defender – went to PSG didn’t really play a lot of football but obviously known to Richard Hughes, the sporting director and the manager [Andoni Iraola]”.
Supporters on X agree that Zabarnyi would be an excellent addition to the first-team squad:

Zabarnyi could replace Konate
The Merseysiders did not plan for Ibrahima Konate’s exit on a free transfer, so adding another relatively experienced centre-back to the ranks would be a wise move.
Zabarnyi is still only 23 years of age, but he is Premier League proven, having spent two and a half years at Bournemouth.
As Crook mentions, both Hughes and Iraola are very much aware of the centre-back’s capabilities as well.

Liverpool are prioritising a move for another PSG player
Journalist Fabrizio Romano has declared that the Reds have been showing the “mosst concrete interest” in Bradley Barcola – Zabarnyi’s teammate.
A lot still depends on how much PSG will demand for the Frenchman’s services. Previous reports have suggested that the European champions want upwards of €130m (£111m), which is not a fee Andoni Iraola’s side would be willing to pay.
If Zabarnyi is being offered out to teams, though, it is more than likely that a deal for the Ukrainian would be much easier to complete. We shall have to wait and see whether this transfer story has any legs.
