Everyone keeps saying we haven't seen many trades or signings in the NBA over the past few weeks because of the LeBron James situation.
With multiple contending teams interested in James' services, it might not be the craziest suggestion to say that teams want to get an answer from the greatest player of all time before other moves are made.
With how many trades we're seeing involving multiple teams, many assets, and more, teams have to be smart and don't want to play their hand before they get a real answer on what James plans to do.
Other teams could also become desperate and decide to trade for other players who might not even be available at the moment.
There are also some other decisions that haven't been figured out, including the Kawhi Leonard saga. According to the latest report, that's part of the reason why the Clippers haven't re-signed restricted free agent Bennedict Mathurin. While Mathurin is the focus here, I don't think it's crazy to say that Leonard could actually be holding up a lot more than we all realize.

However, the Clippers are hesitant to make significant roster decisions as Kawhi Leonard’s Aspiration investigation remains ongoing and has held up his expected trade to the Toronto Raptors,” Michael Scotto wrote.
I'm really curious to see how things start to heat up over the next few weeks to a month, once both of these decisions are finalized. The James situation is obviously a lot different from Leonard's because his isn't a potential contract dispute, but those are two major pieces that still need to fit into the NBA puzzle.
