The Spanish club officially signed former NBA forward Mouhamadou Gueye, adding size, athleticism, and defensive versatility to their rotation.
The 28-year-old arrives in Europe after spending the entirety of his professional career in the United States, where he moved between the NBA and the G League.
Gueye stood out in the G League
Gueye produced one of his strongest professional seasons with the Windy City Bulls in 2025-26.
The 2.06-meter forward averaged 15.9 points, 7.4 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 1.4 blocks, and 0.8 steals across 34 regular-season appearances, including 16 starts.
He played 31.4 minutes per game while shooting 49.7% from the field and 32.5% from three-point range. Gueye also recorded seven double-doubles, eight games with at least 10 rebounds, and 12 appearances with multiple blocks.
His performances earned him a contract with the Chicago Bulls for the remainder of the NBA season in April 2026.
Gueye appeared in two games for Chicago, averaging 8.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 3.0 assists in 22.7 minutes. He finished the regular-season finale against the Dallas Mavericks with 11 points, four assists, three rebounds, two steals, and one block.
Former Raptors forward set for first European experience
Gueye began his NBA career with the Toronto Raptors during the 2023-24 season.
He appeared in 11 games for Toronto, averaging 2.4 points, 2.1 rebounds, and 1.6 blocks in 10.9 minutes per game. Across his NBA career, he has played 13 regular-season games.
The American forward has also represented the Texas Legends, Raptors 905, Capital City Go-Go, and Windy City Bulls in the G League.
Across 89 G League regular-season appearances, Gueye averaged 13.2 points, 6.8 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 1.6 blocks in 28.1 minutes per game while shooting 52.4% from the field.
Before turning professional, Gueye played college basketball at Stony Brook and Pittsburgh after beginning his career at Monroe College.
The move to Valencia will mark the first European chapter of his professional career.
