5 clubs willing to pay over€100m for Yan Diomande

Five clubs have indicated a willingness to pay €100million for Liverpool target Yan Diomande this summer

Liverpool’s interest in RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande has been well documented throughout the summer transfer window, with the Premier League champions identifying the 19-year-old as one of their leading attacking targets.

The Reds are understood to have explored a deal for the Ivory Coast international as they look to strengthen their forward line, but their pursuit has become increasingly complicated amid his preferred indication to instead join PSG.

Reports earlier in the window indicated that Liverpool submitted a bid worth around €100 million, including add-ons, for Yan Diomande.

RB Leipzig rejected the proposal, maintaining a firm stance over the player’s valuation and signalling they were under no pressure to sell one of their most prized young assets.

According to multiple outlets, the winger has agreed personal terms in principle on a five-year contract with the Ligue 1 champions, although a transfer has yet to be completed because negotiations between PSG and RB Leipzig remain unresolved.

The latest update from German newspaper BILD, however, suggests the battle for Diomande is far from over.

The report claims Liverpool, Arsenal, Real Madrid, Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain are all prepared to pay RB Leipzig’s €100million asking price, setting up a potential race involving five of Europe’s biggest clubs.

Liverpool’s interest has remained consistent despite the player’s reported preference for PSG. The Merseyside club have continued to monitor the situation as they weigh their options in the transfer market, although there is no indication that an agreement with RB Leipzig is close.

Even so, the transfer has not yet reached its final stages. Reports indicate PSG and RB Leipzig have yet to settle on a transfer fee, leaving the door open for rival clubs to remain involved.

That uncertainty has encouraged continued interest from Liverpool and attracted other elite European sides to the race.

Bradley Barcola is another main candidate for the winger position at Anfield this summer.
