According to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype, Houston and veteran forward Jae'Sean Tate have agreed to a one-year contract worth $3.07 million.
The agreement is partially guaranteed for $1.04 million, giving the Rockets additional flexibility while allowing Tate to compete for a place in the team's rotation.
Tate set for seventh season in Houston
Tate appeared in 46 regular-season games last season, averaging 2.8 points, 1.6 rebounds, and 0.5 assists in 8.8 minutes per game.
The 30-year-old converted a career-high 51.4% of his attempts from the field, although his role remained limited within Houston's deep forward rotation.
Tate originally joined the Rockets as an undrafted free agent in November 2020 after beginning his professional career overseas.
He immediately earned an important role in Houston and was selected to the NBA All-Rookie First Team following the 2020-21 campaign.
The upcoming season would be Tate's seventh with the Rockets, the only NBA organization he has represented during his career.
