The biggest confirmed news is the return of Kylian Mbappe as the face of the franchise. The Real Madrid forward features on the covers of both the Standard Edition and Ultimate Edition, reclaiming the leading role he held in previous editions, including FIFA 21, FIFA 22, and FIFA 23.
The trailer highlighted revamped animations, graphical improvements, and changes to the defensive system. EA also confirmed the release date, available platforms, and key updates for Ultimate Team, Career Mode, and Clubs.
Meanwhile, Liverpool youngster Rio Ngumoha has officially become an EA Sports ambassador. The 17-year-old expressed his delight at joining the brand.
Ngumoha posted on his Instagram page: “Making a mark. In more than one game 👀 Delighted to officially join @easportsfc as an ambassador. Now I’m really in the game. #FC27 available to pre-order now.”
Rio Ngumoha is currently with the Liverpool squad in Chicago for pre-season training. He made 29 appearances for the Reds in the 2025-26 season, becoming the club’s youngest goalscorer after netting a stoppage-time winner against Newcastle United.
His progress earned him more first-team opportunities and a call-up to England’s pre-World Cup training camp. Still only 17, Ngumoha also made his senior international debut, playing 45 minutes against New Zealand in June.
Ngumoha is keen to showcase his versatility next season, including playing on the right wing. With Liverpool looking to replace Mohamed Salah, manager Andoni Iraola confirmed the club’s search for another winger. In the meantime, Ngumoha has been working on developing his game from the right side.
“Being unpredictable off both sides is key,” he said. “Obviously, everyone knows I can play on the left, but on the right I feel like I’m improving and I’m getting better. “So, yeah, definitely off the left and the right this season.”
