The Golden State Warriors will fully accommodate Stephen Curry's extension wishes next month, whether the superstar guard wants a new one-year or two-year contract.
When it comes to Stephen Curry, the Golden State Warriors couldn't be more open to giving their franchise centerpiece the payday he is seeking.

ESPN's Anthony Slater revealed that the Warriors will fully accommodate Curry's extension wishes, whether the superstar guard wants a new one-year or two-year contract.
"August 29th is Steph Curry's extension eligibility date. From my understanding, despite the fact that they like to keep their salary flexibility open long-term and clean books, Steph Curry is very exclusive to that," Slater said on NBA Today.
"[Curry] can, if he wants a one-year extension at big money or a two-year extension -- the Warriors are very open to that conversation. I think they want to see how this roster looks in the short term and long term. By the time we get to late August when he's eligible, Steph Curry and the Warriors will sit down and decide. And let's be honest, Steph Curry will basically decide if he wants one year, two years, or maybe just wait until next summer."
Warriors, Stephen Curry set to hammer massive contract extension
Stephen Curry will have one more year left in his contract and is set to earn $62.5 million in 2026-27.
Past reports indicated that the Golden State Warriors are fully inclined and confident in reaching a new deal with their homegrown star, as they can offer a two-year deal worth nearly $140 million.
At age 38, Curry remains one of the best players in the world. The two-time MVP averaged 26.6 points, 4.7 assists and 3.6 rebounds for the Warriors last NBA season, but was limited to 43 games amid a problematic "runner's knee" injury.
The Warriors are still not losing hope of winning another NBA title and reviving their dynasty simply because of Curry's presence. And heading into next month, they are primarily looking forward to further securing their future with him.
