Anthony Edwards is officially a married man, as the NBA star has tied the knot with long-time girlfriend Shannon Jackson on July 16, according to Minnesota marriage records.
The Minnesota Timberwolves guard, who went to the Fanatics Fest in New York City last week, was seen by eagle-eyed fans wearing a black band on his ring finger, drawing speculation about his marital status.
Edwards and Jackson had been together since 2020, and they share a two-year-old daughter, Aislynn. Edwards’ wedding comes shortly after the Timberwolves star was embroiled in a highly publicized child-support saga with Ayesha Howard, whom he shares a daughter with.

Edwards previously made headlines for allegedly fathering two other children besides his kids with Jackson and Howard. He reportedly has a daughter named Aris with a woman named Daja (born in September 2023) and a son named Amir with a woman named Ally D (born in October 2023).

The Minnesota Timberwolves gave Anthony Edwards a new point guard this offseason by trading for LaMelo Ball, and the two backcourt stars have taken initiative to work on their team chemistry ahead of the 2026-27 season.
According to The Athletic’s Jon Krawczynski, Edwards and Ball are planning a trip to France to visit and work out with starting center Rudy Gobert before the team’s training camp.
“I do think that the physical act of getting on the plane, heading across the water, and coming to his town to work with him will go a long way for Rudy,” Krawczynski explained. “It does mean more to him when he’s completely included, when he feels like his teammates are trying to maximize him as best they can.”
This past season, Edwards averaged 28.8 points, 5.0 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and 1.4 steals on 48.9 percent shooting from the field across 61 regular-season appearances. The Timberwolves reached the second round but lost to the San Antonio Spurs in six games.
