Liverpool manager Andoni Iraola has indicated a winger is high on the club's list of priorities but that might not be their only bit of business. Mohamed Salah's exit has left the Reds in need of reinforcements, though, and the new boss was blunt on the matter.

"A winger, for example - we definitely need to sign a winger," Iraola said. "But there are other situations that we will have to analyse what the market gives you, what's the cost, how we also see the players we have."

One wide man has already arrived, with Victor Munoz set to link up with his new Liverpool team-mates after a post-World Cup break. Jeremy Jacquet has already joined, though, and is part of the Reds' pre-season touring squad.

That pre-season programme begins on Saturday with a match against Sunderland. Plenty of transfer talk has continued in the background, though, and we've got the latest for you here.

Two more deals

Liverpool are offloading two more players, promising centre-back Amara Nallo and backup goalkeeper Armin Pecsi. Nallo set to join HJK Helsinki on a temporary deal while Pecsi has completed a season-long move to TSV Hartberg in the Austrian Bundesliga.

Finland's league season runs between April and October, which means Nallo should be back at Anfield prior to the January transfer window opening. The youngster has three senior outings under his belt for Liverpool but was sent off in two of them.

Pecsi, 21, joined Liverpool last year from Puskas Akademia in his native country. He was an unused substitute for several Premier League matches last season but will hope for some first-team football in Austria.

Akliouche hint

France international Maghnes Akliouche has been studying English, according to PA, with some Liverpool fans excited by the development. The Monaco man, who can play on the wing or as an attacking midfielder, has been linked with the Reds and PSG during the current window.

The ECHO understands Liverpool made initial contact with Monaco during the early stages of the transfer window. However, reports suggesting more recent talks are thought to be wide of the mark.

Akliouche, 24, has netted once for France at international level. He was part of Les Bleus' World Cup squad along with Liverpool-linked Bradley Barcola but only made one group stage appearance.
