According to his agent, Misko Raznatovic, Marjanovic has signed a short-term contract with the Philippine team SGA and will represent them at the prestigious William Jones Cup in Taiwan.
The international invitational tournament is scheduled to take place from August 13 to 23 at Xinzhuang Gymnasium in New Taipei City.
Marjanovic most recently played in Slovenia
The 37-year-old most recently represented Perspektiva Ilirija during the 2025-26 season.
Marjanovic averaged 13.4 points and 6.6 rebounds in 22.5 minutes across eight ABA League appearances, shooting 56.2% from the field.
Before joining the Slovenian club, he had brief spells with the Zhejiang Lions in China and Fenerbahce Istanbul.
Marjanovic appeared in six EuroLeague games for Fenerbahce during the 2024-25 campaign, posting 4.0 points and 3.5 rebounds in just over 10 minutes per game.
Nine-year NBA career
The 2.24-meter center spent nine seasons in the NBA after joining the San Antonio Spurs in 2015.
Marjanovic also represented the Detroit Pistons, Los Angeles Clippers, Philadelphia 76ers, Dallas Mavericks, and Houston Rockets.
He made 331 regular-season appearances, including 25 starts, and recorded career averages of 5.5 points and 3.6 rebounds while shooting 57.8% from the field.
His final NBA campaign came with Houston in 2023-24, when he averaged 3.2 points and 2.3 rebounds across 14 appearances.
All-EuroLeague center before NBA move
Before moving to the United States, Marjanovic established himself as one of the leading centers in European basketball.
He has played 54 EuroLeague games for CSKA Moscow, Zalgiris Kaunas, Crvena Zvezda, and Fenerbahce, averaging 11.0 points, 7.5 rebounds, and a 16.3 PIR.
His best season came with Crvena Zvezda in 2014-15, when he averaged 16.6 points and 10.7 rebounds in 24 appearances and earned a place on the All-EuroLeague First Team.
