Stefan Bajcetic has taken the latest step in his long road to recovery from injury by taking part in training alongside his Liverpool team-mates.

Bajcetic has been involved in sessions during the pre-season tour in the United States and was back on the grass again on Thursday when the Reds were put through their paces at the Endeavor Health Performance Center.

The 21-year-old hasn't featured at any level since undergoing a hamstring operation in May 2025 towards the end of a successful loan spell at Las Palmas.

And Bajcetic took to social media after the session with a simple message that underlined his lengthy rehabilitation process, stating: "Paid off."

Bajcetic's partial return is in line with the expectations set out by new Liverpool head coach Andoni Iraola earlier this week.

"We have Stefan and Wataru (Endo) that are close to getting to training with the group," said Iraola. "They will even start on this tour - Stefan and Wataru - training not fully maybe, but partially with the group."

Bajcetic has played just 97 minutes for Liverpool since first suffering injury problems March 2023 having made his senior breakthrough earlier that season.

His last appearance for Liverpool came in May 2024, after which he had an aborted loan spell at Salzburg before switching to Las Palmas.
