Arsenal are making a concerted effort to secure the services of Crystal Palace forward Mylo Bernard, according to reports.
The Daily Mail claim that the Gunners are “pushing to sign” the 16-year-old, who is currently out of contract.
Palace have offered Bernard an improved deal, but he has not made a final decision on whether he will stay at Selhurst Park or move to North London.
What do fans need to know about Bernard?
The teenager has come through the ranks of Palace, and he is an England youth international, having been capped eight times at Under-16 level.
Bernard has scored 4 goals for his country, with his best performance coming in a 4-1 friendly win against the Netherlands last December. He was involved in all 4 goals, scoring a hat-trick and providing an assist.
At club level, the striker made 13 appearances in the Under 18 Premier League last season, finding the back of the net 6 times. He has also made three brief cameos for Palace in the FA Youth Cup.

Arsenal want to strengthen their academy
The Gunners have made some significant changes at Hale End in recent months. Pascal De Maesschalck is set to become the club’s new academy director at the start of next month. He will join from Strasbourg to replace Per Mertesacker, who is stepping down after eight years in the job.
On the pitch, the Premier League champions have been looking to bring in fresh blood. Victor Ozhianvuna has recently arrived from Shamrock Rovers, while Elijah Upson has been snapped up from Tottenham.
Several bids have also been lodged for Blackburn Rovers’ Igor Tyjon, while discussions have been held with Cardiff City for Axel Donczew.
