FC Barcelona officially announced the signing of American guard Tyrese Martin, who spent the past four seasons moving between the NBA and the G League.

The club officially announced the signing of former NBA guard Tyrese Martin to a one-year contract.
The 27-year-old is set to begin the first European chapter of his professional career after spending the past several seasons between the NBA and the G League.
Martin arrives after Nets, 76ers spells
Martin split the 2025-26 NBA season between the Brooklyn Nets and Philadelphia 76ers, appearing in 46 games and averaging 6.3 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 1.7 assists.
He began the campaign with Brooklyn, where he recorded 7.3 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 1.9 assists in 18.8 minutes across 37 appearances, including six starts.
Martin scored in double figures 12 times for the Nets, highlighted by a season-high 26-point performance against the Toronto Raptors in November. He later joined Philadelphia on a two-way contract in February.
The 1.98-meter guard enjoyed his most productive NBA campaign with Brooklyn in 2024-25, averaging a career-best 8.7 points across 60 games while making 11 starts.
He also produced the best scoring performance of his NBA career that season, registering 30 points and eight three-pointers against the Phoenix Suns.
Martin brings NBA and G League experience
Martin was selected with the No. 51 overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft and began his NBA career with the Atlanta Hawks.
Across three NBA seasons with Atlanta, Brooklyn, and Philadelphia, he has appeared in 122 regular-season games, averaging 6.8 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 1.7 assists.
The American also gained extensive experience in the G League with the College Park Skyhawks, Iowa Wolves, Long Island Nets, and Delaware Blue Coats.
Martin averaged 31.0 points, 9.7 rebounds, and 6.3 assists in three G League appearances for Delaware last season, shooting 56.8% from three-point range on more than 12 attempts per game.
Before turning professional, Martin played college basketball for Rhode Island and UConn.
