Arsenal wrapped up their first major signing of the summer this week, adding Club Brugge winger Christos Tzolis to their ranks, and they're now closing in on a deal for another winger.
The Gunners have had a slow start to the window, with Leeds goalkeeper Illan Meslier their only addition up until this week. However, sporting director Andrea Berta's transfer exploits may have kicked into gear, as the North Londoners confirmed the £34 million signing of Tzolis on Thursday afternoon.
The Greek is expected to replace Leandro Trossard, who left for Besiktas earlier this month, in Mikel Arteta's squad, although there is a feeling at the Emirates that another ceiling-raising wide man is needed.
Bradley Barcola is understood to be on Arsenal's radar, while they're also seemingly targeting younger players who can develop with the first team over the coming years, in this position.

According to the Athletic, Arsenal are expected to complete the signing of Cardiff City winger Axel Donczew.
The 16-year-old became the Welsh side's youngest-ever player when he made his debut — a late cameo appearance in an EFL Trophy match against Newport — in October 2025. Donczew went on to make another appearance in the same competition for the Bluebirds last season, while he also made the bench for an EFL Cup quarter-final tie against Chelsea.
The Welsh youngster only turned 16 in February and is highly thought of in youth football circles. It's believed Cardiff wanted him to agree professional terms, but Arsenal have swooped in and are now expected to land the starlet.
While an agreement is still yet to be reached, it's understood that the deal is close, and that Donczew will be on the Gunners' books from the start of next season.
He's unlikely to make any sort of impact on the first team at the Emirates next season, with a role in the under-21s much more likely, but the teenager is an exciting talent for Arsenal supporters to get behind after missing out on Jeremy Monga.

Donczew is a creative and tricky wide forward who can threaten the opposition's backline with direct runs in behind and clever movement. He's said to be in a similar mould to Monga, who was heavily linked with Arsenal but ultimately accepted a more lucrative proposal from Manchester City.
Both Monga and Donczew made their senior debuts at extremely young ages. While the former Leicester City star has more experience in men's football, both are highly rated and were entrusted to play minutes for their first teams before turning 16.
Clearly, the Gunners felt this was an area they needed to address in this window. After missing out on Monga, they have moved quickly for Donczew to fill the left wing void they feel they have in their academy.
