Everton have had a strong summer transfer window so far, and they are now considering a shock move to strengthen even further.
The Toffees finished 13th in the Premier League in 2025/26 following a late push for European football which went pear-shaped, but manager David Moyes is keen to bolster the squad and push up the table this season, with more firepower in attack being targeted.
Tyrique George has already arrived permanently from Chelsea following his loan spell in the second half of the last campaign, while Hayden Hackney joined on a permanent deal from Middlesbrough and Merlin Rohl's loan was made permanent too, and now the club are looking to improve their number nine position with an audacious move for a household name.
Everton Consider Vlahovic Offer

According to a report by Tuttosport, Everton are considering making an offer to free agent striker Dusan Vlahovic about a move to Merseyside.
Vlahovic, who has been described as 'one of the best strikers in the world', is officially a free agent after his contract at Juventus expired on June 30th, and the Serbia international is understood to be considering his options ahead of signing with a new club.
One of his options is rejoining Juventus, with talks ongoing with the Serie A club over a new deal, but currently there is a big gap in discussions on his wages, with the 26-year-old currently demanding €9m-per-year (£150,000-a-week), plus a mega signing on fee.
The Toffees are keen to upgrade their striker options after both Beto and Thierno Barry struggled in front of goal last season, and they are believed to be considering a surprise move to tempt Vlahovic to move to the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
However, it's believed that Vlahovic is currently 'very cold' on a move to Everton, as he would prefer to re-sign with Juventus and is currently giving their negotiations his priority. Should he fail to reach an agreement with them, he would consider his options, but even then his wages could be a hurdle for Moyes' side.

Vlahovic Would Be Gamechanger for Everton
Dusan Vlahovic in action for Juventus
Everton made a major wave when they brought in Jack Grealish last summer, with big wages and big expectations to strengthen the attack. He did well before being hit down with an injury that ended his season early, and now there are question marks over whether he will return.
But that money could well be put towards a deal to bring Vlahovic in, and he would be a transformative signing for the club to provide a reliable goal threat consistently, and help fire them up the table.
It's clear that the player has talent and the ability to play at the top level, but it does seem as though he needs a new environment to do that. If Everton can convince him that they can do that for him, then it could be the best bit of business anyone in the Premier League does this summer.
