Arsenal transfer news## Arsenal will be keen to strengthen their squad further this summer and could now be set for a big financial boost to do so

Arsenal forward Reiss Nelson could be set to hand the Gunners a welcome financial boost amid reported transfer interest from home and abroad. The winger's homegrown status would mean any sale represents pure profit for Arsenal - improving their Financial Fair Play position for Andrea Berta to sign more players.
The 26-year-old endured an injury-hit campaign on loan at Brentford last season - limiting him to just 14 appearances for the Bees. Brentford had the option to make his move permanent if he had sufficiently impressed Bees boss Andrews.
However, the West London club chose not to take up their purchase option. Nelson is entering the final year of his contract and Arsenal will be looking for a sale this summer.
Now, BBC Sport claim that Premier League side Fulham, Portuguese giants Benfica and Spanish La Liga team Valencia are among those interested. It is claimed he has turned down some English interest, but is open to a move abroad this summer.

Persistent injuries have been the biggest obstacle to Nelson's career in his early to mid-20s. He underwent surgery while on loan with Fulham during the 2024/25 season, which cut short what was looking like a promising spell with Marco Silva’s side.
And a move to Benfica could see Nelson reunited with Silva, who has taken over this summer. The Portuguese coach was reportedly very fond of Nelson and had been a key driver behind Fulham's previous interest in a permanent deal.
Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta has previously stated his belief that Nelson could reach "the next level". The Englishman has 90 first-team appearances for the Gunners - scoring eight goals and providing nine assists.
Speaking in late 2022, Arteta said: “We think the potential is there and we think we’ve seen something in Reiss that is special.
