Gueye to call time on second Everton spell

**Idrissa Gueye is set to call time on his second stint with Everton.**

Gueye returned to Merseyside in 2022 from Paris Saint-Germain, where he won two Ligue 1 titles and made over 100 appearances in three seasons.

He was a prominent figure during the club’s debut campaign at Hill Dickinson Stadium, featuring 25 times in the Premier League and scoring two goals.

The Senegal international had been in discussions with David Moyes’ side over a new contract after his previous deal expired at the end of last season.

However Gueye will now draw the curtain down on his time with the Blues, which produced a combined 10 goals in 236 outings from all competitions.

Reports in France claim the 36-year-old is on the verge of signing with Saudi Pro League outfit Al-Diriyah on a one-year deal with the option of a second.

Gueye will become the third former Everton player to join a club in the Kingdom’s top flight after Demarai Gray and Abdoulaye Doucoure’s spells.
