In a joint exclusive with Freddy Cardie from The Gooner, Arseblog News understands that highly rated young striker Jessie Gale will spend next season on loan at WSL2 club Newcastle United.
The 19-year-old joined the Gunners from Charlton two years ago and had a dual registration spell at Watford in 2024-25. Last season, Jessie spent the first half of the season on loan at WSL2 side Portsmouth where she scored five goals in 15 appearances.
Her loan on the South Coast was cut short and she joined promotion chasing Bristol City on loan for the second half of the campaign, where she scored a further three goals and won a call up for the England U23 team.
Our understanding is that she will spend next season in the WSL2 again with Newcastle United. Newcastle have just sold star striker Emily Murphy to Brighton. However, the Magpies have added well this summer and are expected to be in the hunt for promotion to the WSL.
Gale’s path at Arsenal is currently blocked with Russo, Blackstenius and Cerci in the squad. Michelle Agyemang is in the final stages of recovery from an ACL injury and plans for her next season are currently unclear (at least to us!)
