The Cleveland Cavaliers were forced to wait until July 24 to learn that they didn't land LeBron James in free agency.
The King picked the Philadelphia 76ers on Friday, and now the Cavs are left picking up the pieces of their broken dream.
Cleveland knew this was a possibility, of course. There was always more than one team in the running.
But because James had the NBA on hold while he made up his mind, the Cavs couldn't really do anything else. In the meantime, a lot of other free agents signed.
That leaves the Cavaliers with two obvious pieces of business following LeBron's choice of Philadelphia.

What do the Cavs do now?
The first is the most obvious: Get James Harden signed.
Harden was always planning to come back, but he hadn't inked his contract yet. The Cavs wanted to make sure they had the money available to sign James if he chose to return to Cleveland.
Now with no LeBron, the Cavaliers have to make sure they don't let Harden get away.
The next move isn't a given, but it's logical: Sign Jonathan Kuminga.
The former Warriors and Hawks forward can fill forward minutes that would've otherwise been taken by LeBron. He's also still young and has upside, despite his relatively negative view from some teams around the league.
Kuminga is the best consolation prize the Cavs could get at this point. It's worth trying to get a deal done with him as soon as possible.
Nothing will feel like landing LeBron. But now that the waiting game is over, Cleveland has to spring into action.
