Newcastle United, after missing out on Victor Munoz and Johan Manzambi, have completed the signing of Monaco youngster Aladji Bamba.

Liverpool are preparing for a pivotal summer under new head coach Andoni Iraola, who is keen to strengthen his squad amid ongoing takeover talks.

The Reds have made an approach for Monaco winger Maghnes Akliouche, while they are also reportedly leading the race to sign PSG forward Bradley Barcola, ahead of Arsenal.

Elsewhere, Chelsea have completed the £117million signing of England international Morgan Rogers, while Alejandro Garnacho has joined Aston Villa on loan.

Arsenal have signed Christos Tzolis from Club Brugge, although their pursuit of Newcastle captain Bruno Guimaraes continues to dominate headlines. The Magpies remain adamant the Brazilian is not for sale.

Meanwhile, former Liverpool goalkeeper Peter Gulacsi is expected to leave RB Leipzig this summer, with Maarten Vandevoordt set to become the club’s first-choice goalkeeper. According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Villarreal are in advanced talks to sign the Hungarian.

Fabrizio Romano posted on X: “Villarreal are in advanced talks to sign Peter Gulacsi as new goalkeeper, here we go soon! Negotiations underway with personal terms almost agreed and club to club ongoing.”

If the deal goes through as expected, Gulacsi will leave RB Leipzig after making 362 competitive appearances and helping the club win the DFB-Pokal. Leipzig are expected to sign an experienced replacement who would be willing to serve as a backup goalkeeper.

Peter Gulacsi initially joined Liverpool on loan from MTK Hungaria before completing a permanent move in August 2008. He provided cover for Pepe Reina and Brad Jones but never made a senior appearance for the Reds.

The Hungarian goalkeeper was named on Liverpool’s substitutes’ bench 51 times and spent periods on loan at Hull City, Tranmere Rovers and Hereford United.

He left the Reds to join Red Bull Salzburg in a permanent deal in the summer of 2013. After two years in Austria, he was snapped up by RB Leipzig in 2015.
