The downtown Los Angeles Sixth Street Bridge is closed Friday morning as Los Angeles Police Department officers work to take a man into custody.
Police activity at the bridge began around 8:30 a.m. and continues several hours later.
Los Angeles City Fire crews have also responded to the scene.
The Sixth Street Bridge connects 6th Street in the Arts District with Whittier Boulevard in the Boyle Heights neighborhood.
