The Portland Trail Blazers are currently in the midst of negotiations with the City of Portland and Multnomah County to complete funding for a renovation of the aging Moda Center arena, the home court for the NBA franchise. Though the Blazers are a core part of Portland’s identity, talks have been rocky, with each side accusing the other of being obstinate.
This week we asked Trail Blazers fans whether they believed the parties would come to an accord by the end of the year. Despite the current controversies, 65% of fans said yes, funds would be made available to renovate the arena. That’s a breath of fresh air in a news cycle that’s seemingly gotten worse by the week. Way to carry the torch, Portlanders!
